Darwin Shapiro, a minor, by Bessie Shapiro, his mother and next friend, brought suit against the City of Chicago because of personal injuries alleged to have been received by plaintiff through the negligence of defendant in permitting an attractive nmsance to remain in a public alley. The cause was tried before a judge and jury which resulted in a verdict in favor of plaintiff for $10,000 and against the defendant City of Chicago, from which judgment defendant brings this appeal.
