MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

McKENNA, District Judge.

Plaintiff Cynthia Maurizio (“Maurizio”) brought this action for copyright infringement, a declaration of joint authorship and an accounting in connection therewith, violation of Lanham Act Section 43(a), and various state law claims against defendant Olivia Goldsmith (“Goldsmith”). 1 (Comply 3). The facts of the case involve authorship of the novel The First Wives Club (“FWC”), which was subsequently made into a motion picture.
