The dispositive issue in this appeal is whether the trial court properly granted summary judgment for the defendant, Middlesex Insurance Company, on the ground that the plaintiff, Marion Lees, had failed to allege valid claims under the Connecticut Unfair Insurance Practices Act (CUIPA); General Statutes (Rev. to 1981) § 38-60 et seq.;1 and the Connecticut *844Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA).
