DAVIS, Judge:
U.S. Army veteran John F. McBurney appeals through counsel from a July 17, 2008, Board of Veterans’ Appeals (Board) decision that denied his claim for recognition as a former prisoner of war (POW) for VA-benefits purposes. This appeal is timely, and the Court has jurisdiction to review the Board’s decision pursuant to 38 U.S.C. §§ 7252(a) and 7266(a). For the following reasons, the Court will affirm the July 2008 Board decision.
