Patrick Lester Kelly (appellant) was convicted by a jury of the first degree murder of his wife, Margaret Brown Kelly. He was sentenced in accordance with the jury’s recommendation to life imprisonment. On appeal, Kelly raises the following issues: (1) whether his confession was obtained in violation of his sixth amendment right to counsel and, therefore, should have been suppressed; (2) whether his confession was involuntary and, therefore, should have been suppressed; (3) whether the trial court erred by admitting highly inflammatory evidence of three prior assaults by him…
