A & A Taxi, Inc. and the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Uninsured Employers’ Fund (collectively, Appellants) appeal from a circuit court order finding Robert A. Pikaart was an employee of A & A Taxi, Inc. at the time he was injured in two automobile accidents and that he was entitled to certain workers’ compensation benefits. Appellants contend Pikaart was an independent contractor, not an employee; therefore, the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission has no jurisdiction in this matter.
