— After plaintiff M. Todd Jenks resigned from his position as an associate attorney, he sued his employer, defendant DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary US LLP (DLA Piper), alleging the law firm had violated the terms of his resignation agreement by preventing him from receiving certain disability benefits. DLA Piper successfully moved to compel arbitration as the successor by merger to an arbitration agreement entered into between plaintiff and his prior employer.
