LEWIS, Judge.
Defendant pled guilty to several drug-related offenses after his motion to suppress evidence was denied. The only issues raised by his appeal pertain to the denial of his motion to suppress.
The facts found by the trial court in its written denial of defendant’s motion are essentially as follows. On 1 February 1996, Deputy J.W. Jacobs of the Robeson County Sheriff’s Department, Drug Enforcement Division, was patrolling Interstate 95 from his police car. He was parked on the median facing southbound traffic.
