Having reconsidered this case en banc, we now hold that the award to a victorious plaintiff of both attorneys’ fees and costs is to bear interest from the date a judgment is rendered making the award. 1 Accord, Perkins v. Standard Oil Co. of California, 487 F.2d 672 (9th Cir.1973); Independence Tube Corp. v. Copperweld Corp., 543 F.Supp. 706 (N.D.Ill.1982). This is consistent with the result we reached in Gates v.
