From the record and as summarized in the briefs of the parties, on April 28, 1983, the Los Angeles County District Attorney petitioned the juvenile court with respect to the appellant Stephen L., 15 years of age (hereinafter referred to as the Minor) under Welfare and Institutions Code section 602.
