This is an appeal by the employer, United Aircraft Corporation, from the granting, by the commissioner, of unemployment compensation benefits to two employees, the named claimants, Merryman and Lombardo, without imposition of the statutory disqualification penalties provided by § 31-236 of the General Statutes. Although there are slight variations in the facts, it has been agreed by counsel that the issues are identical and that two cases may be treated, for the purposes of this appeal, as one.
