This is a suit for damages, alleged in the sum of $15,000, as the result of damages to one and the destruction of another railroad bridge, by a runaway crane weighing seventy tons, which escaped from the coal yards of the defendant and the custody of its employees, and got out upon the main line of the plaintiff’s track. It passed over the first iron bridge of the plaintiff, with its boom about forty feet long erect, and swept away its superstructure, and broke down and destroyed the next iron bridge it encountered, designated as No. 5.
