¶1 Following a 10-month investigation of consumer complaints that Nationscapital Mortgage Corporation, a mortgage broker, misrepresented loan terms and conditions, the Department of Financial Institutions (DFI)1 brought an enforcement action against Nationscapital and certain of its officers and employees, alleging numerous violations of the Mortgage Broker Practices Act (Act), chapter 19.146 RCW.
