Mrs. Margaret Toomey brought suit against Bead & Gresham, H. EL Bead, and W. A. Gresham, on a note for $1500, signed by the firm of BeaS. & Gresham and by the two members thereof. She sued for the principal, interest, and attorney’s fees. The defendants in their answer admitted their indebtedness to the plaintiff in the principal sum of $1500, and interest to the date of maturity of the note, but denied that they were indebted in any further sum as interest or for attorney’s fees. They averred that the note sued on represented the last of the payments to be made under a bond for title given…
