This libel case, initially filed in Supreme Court, New York County, and removed here pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1332, 1441 (1994), arises from statements allegedly made about plaintiff, Jacques Agnant, in a rap song written and performed by the late Tupac Shakur. Plaintiff sues the Estate of Tupac Shakur (the “Shakur Estate”), Interscope Records, Interseope Pearl Music, Warner-Tamerlane Publishing Corp., Death Row Records, Inc. and Suge Publishing (collectively, the “Record Company defendants”), as well as other companies and individuals allegedly…
