OPINION

SIMMONS, District Judge.

This product liability action arises out of injuries sustained by the plaintiff while operating a machine designed, manufactured and distributed by the defendant. The plaintiff sought to recover damages on the theory of strict liability, claiming that his injuries were caused by the defective design of the defendant’s machine. After a trial on the merits, the trial court submitted the case to the jury through special interrogatories.
