On August 4, 2004, the appellant, R.S.M., pleaded guilty in the Baldwin Juvenile Court to contributing to the delinquency of a minor, a violation of § 12-15-13, Ala.Code 1975.1 He was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment; the sentence was split, and he was ordered to serve 30 days in confinement followed by 12 months on probation. R.S.M. attempted to appeal his conviction to this Court; however, this Court determined that the record was inadequate for an appeal, see Rule 28(B), Ala.R.Juv.P., and by order dated December 13, 2004, transferred the case to the Baldwin Circuit Court for a trial de…
