SIMON, Justice.

This is a suit for damages against Mayo Harson, Sheriff of Lafayette Parish, and H. Gordon Hamner, Jr., arising out of an illegal and wrongful seizure of an automobile owned by plaintiff. Both defendants filed an exception of no right or cause of action which was sustained as to the defendant Sheriff but overruled as to his co-defendant. An exception of prescription was then filed on the latter’s behalf and which was also overruled. After trial on the merits the lower court rendered judgment in favor of plaintiff for $2,649.64 with legal interest from date of judicial demand…
