This is a suit in equity to determine a disputed boundary. It is alleged in the complaint that plaintiff and defendant are counties of California created by law, that the territory of Madera is contiguous to and next south of Mariposa, that the true dividing-line is that defined in section 3938 of the Political Code, and that Madera has been encroaching upon the rights of Mariposa, by claiming and attempting to exercise jurisdiction over a strip of territory north of the boundary thirty miles long and of an average width of six miles.
