This appeal arises out of an action brought by the plaintiff, Mark Lingenheld, against the defendant, Desjardins Woodworking, Inc., a corporation that is owned by Peter Desjardins,1 for damages resulting from the defendant’s allegedly negligent conduct. Following a trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the plaintiff on his claim of negligence and awarded him $342,879.43.
