The principal issue in this workers’ compensation case is whether the defendant’s notice of intention to contest compensability was sufficiently specific to satisfy the requirements of General Statutes (Rev. to 1989) § 31-297 (b),1 thus allowing the defendant to challenge the plaintiff’s claim on the merits.
