PAUL W. Brosman, Judge:

The accused was convicted, following trial by general court-martial convened at Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, under a number of charges, including nine specifications alleging the utterance of checks followed by a dishonorable failure to maintain an account sufficient to cover them — all in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, Article 134, 50 USC § 728.
