ROBERT E. Quinn, Chief Judge:

On September 16, 1953, a general court-martial convicted the accused of desertion and two other offenses against the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The court-martial imposed a sentence which provided in part for dishonorable discharge and confinement at hard labor for one year and six months. On review, a board of review reduced the finding of guilty of the desertion charge to that of the lesser included offense of unauthorized absence and otherwise affirmed the findings of guilty.
