The Attorney-General initiated this proceeding pursuant to Executive Law § 63 (12) alleging that Ford Motor Company is engaged in persistent fraudulent conduct in violation of General Business Law § 198-a (the Lemon Law) by charging its customers the first $100 of warranty repair work for repairs performed under its extended powertrain warranty when the vehicle has more than 12,000 miles and less than 18,000 miles upon its odometer.
