After a bench trial, defendant Billy Truly was found guilty of armed robbery of a grocery store and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

In this appeal, defendant contends (1) he received ineffective assistance of counsel when his attorney failed to investigate, prepare and present defendant’s alibi to the crime; (2) his attorney failed to inform him that he was being counseled by a law student and failure to obtain defendant’s written consent for such counseling constituted per se ineffective assistance of counsel; and (3) the cumulative…
