The plaintiff, Andrew Ordon, M.D. (“Dr.Ordon”), brings this action against his former attorney, Karen Karpie (“Karpie”), and the law firm in which she is a partner, Murphy & Karpie (collectively “the Defendants”), alleging negligence and breach of contract. Dr. Ordon, a plastic surgeon, retained Karpie to represent him in proceedings before the Connecticut Medical Examining Board (“CMEB”) after a patient reported an adverse result in a surgery performed by Dr. Ordon.
