The plaintiff, Andrew Ordon, M.D. (“Dr. Ordon”), brought this action against his former attorney, Karen Karpie (“Karpie”), and the law firm in which she is a partner, Murphy & Karpie (collectively “the Defendants”), alleging that Karpie negligently failed to inform him that if he settled a complaint against him before the Connecticut Medical Examining Board (“CMEB”), he might still be subject to reciprocal discipline by the medical boards of other jurisdictions.
