On 23 May 1972, John Keith Lunsford (Keith) was a 13-year-old seventh grade student at the Walker Mill Junior High School (the School) in Prince George’s County. On the afternoon of that day, Keith was assaulted by a group of his fellow students, while on his way from the School to his home, and sustained serious injuries.
