Plaintiff sought benefits under the Workmen’s Compensation Act for a back injury that occurred on March 20, 1959, and for an alleged occupational disease stemming from the fumes and dust in which he had worked. He retired from defendant’s employ in June 1966 and on August 14, 1968 filed a petition for a hearing on his claim. After a hearing commencing on September 4, 1969, the hearing referee found that plaintiffs back injury did not cause any disability.
