This is an action to recover damages for the alleged conversion of household goods and furniture. On December 15,1927, D. F. Shope executed and delivered to the defendant Motor Investment Company a bill of sale to certain household furniture located in his home at 1396 Wisteria Ave., in the city of Portland. At such tim,e the house was occupied by L. F. Hallett, as lessee, and on the date of the bill of sale, Shope executed another instrument assigning to the defendant all rentals to become due under the lease.
