NATURE OF CASE
Robert E. Wright appealed his conviction for manslaughter to the Nebraska Court of Appeals. On appeal to the Court of Appeals, Wright made various assignments of error, including an assertion that the district court for Johnson County erred in failing to instruct the jury on motor vehicle homicide as a lesser-included offense of manslaughter. The Court of Appeals rejected Wright’s assignments of error, including the claimed error with respect to the purported lesser-included offense, and affirmed his conviction. See State v.
