FRYE, Justice.

This case involves three separate lawsuits which were consolidated for purposes of trial and which arose out of a traffic accident involving three vehicles. The primary issue presented for review by this Court is whether the trial court erred in granting directed verdicts in favor of the plaintiff-appellees Claude Tolson Murdock and Conner Homes Corporation, and defendant-appellees Michael Lane Moss and Ernest Ray Cardwell.
