Plaintiff brought an action against defendant for medical malpractice on the theory that defendant, an ophthalmologist, was negligent in screening and recommending plaintiff as an appropriate candidate for “monovision” eye surgery.1 The case was tried to a jury, which rendered a verdict in plaintiff’s favor.
