Mrs. Langdell obtained a decree of divorce from defendant on July 7, 1927, which required him to make the following payments: For5 the wife, $62.50 per month during her lifetime, or so long as she remained unmarried; for the daughter, $52.50 per month for a term of five years from and after June 28, 1927, $97.50 per month for the next five years, and $112.50 per month thereafter until November 26, 1942, when she would attain the age of 21 years. Neither party has since remarried.

Langdell has been continuously employed as an engineer by a public utility. In 1927 his salary was $525 per month..…
