MEMORANDUM OPINION

YOUNG, District Judge

Petitioner, a national of France and the wife of a United States citizen, filed a petition for naturalization under section 319(a) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (“the Act”). 8 U.S.C.A. § 1430(a) (1970). This permits the spouse of a citizen to he naturalized after residing continuously in the United States for three years. 1 Another section defines “continuous” residence and specifies that an absence of one year' will break the continuity. 2 8 U.S.C.A. § 1427(b) (1970).
