The dispositive issue in this appeal is whether the defendant, James J. Quinn III, is a covered person under the terms of an automobile liability insurance policy issued by the plaintiff, Middlesex Insurance Company (Middlesex), to the defendant’s father, James J. *259Quinn, Jr.1 Following the trial court’s judgment vacating an arbitration award of $83,333 rendered in favor of the defendant, the defendant appealed to the Appellate Court, which affirmed the judgment of the trial court.
