Respondent was admitted to the practice of law by this Court on February 16, 1982 and formerly maintained an office in Utica. On October 20, 1994, respondent was found guilty, following a jury trial, of mail fraud in violation of 18 USC *86§ 1341 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York. That conviction arose from respondent’s submission of a false insurance claim to the Allstate Insurance Company and his obtaining the sum of $76,000.
