— In this action the appellant, in her individual capacity and as the executrix of William J. McDonald, deceased, sought to recover from the respondents the sum of $3,634.89. Three separate causes of action were set forth in the complaint. In the first, recovery was sought upon a promissory note dated July 28, 1916, for the sum of $2,500, made payable to William J. McDonald, and signed as makers by a partnership doing business under the firm name of McDonald-Gioodwin Company, and by the respondent King E. McDonald.
