EVERETT, Chief Judge:

Contrary to appellant’s pleas, a general court-martial convened at Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, Connecticut, found him guilty of unauthorized absences: (a) from Naval Submarine Support Facility, New London, from January 3, 1979, until February 17, 1981; (b) from Naval Education and Training Center Newport, Rhode Island, from March 16 until March 19, 1981; and (c) from Naval Submarine Support Facility, New London, from June 25,1981, until March 1,1982, in violation of Article 86, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 886.
