This is a proceeding in condemnation which was instituted by the City of St. Louis pursuant to an ordinance providing for the condemnation of private property for the establishment, opening, and widening of Chippewa Street between Gravois Avenue and Meramec Street in said city, all to be done in connection with a proposal for the separation of the grades of Chippewa Street and the tracks of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company.
