Before a general court-martial, the appellant pleaded guilty to committing indecent acts with his minor stepdaughter, indecent assault, and adultery, in violation of Article 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. § 934 (1982) [hereinafter UCMJ]. A court composed of members sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for six years, partial forfeitures for a like period, and reduction in grade to Private El.
