The plaintiff, the Sotavento Corporation, brought this action to impose personal liability on the defendants, several limited partners of Momingside Partners Limited Partnership (Momingside). In a previous action, the plaintiff had obtained a judgment against Momingside for its failure to pay the plaintiff amounts it had borrowed under a promissory note. One of the defendants, Marvin R.
