The plaintiff, Claudia Weiss, appeals1 from the trial court’s summary judgment rendered in favor of the defendant, Martin T. Weiss, the plaintiffs former husband, on the basis of the court’s conclusion that the plaintiffs claims were barred by the doctrines of res judicata and collateral estoppel. At the heart of this dispute is the plaintiffs contention that workers’ compensation cases are “personal injury cases” for the purposes of a contingency fee splitting provision in the parties’ marital dissolution agreement.
