JENKINS, J.:

While driving his pickup truck, Donald Eichler struck and severely injured a wheelchair-bound pedestrian. Less than ninety minutes later, police officers discovered the pickup truck on Eichler’s,.property and found Eichler in highly intoxicated condition.

A jury found Eichler guilty of aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence (“aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI”), DUI — general impairment, DUI — highest rate of alcohol, and accidents involving death or personal injury. 1 The trial court sentenced Eichler to 1 5£-8 years’ imprisonment for…
