JUSTICE CASTILLE.
On October 1, 1998, a jury sitting in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County convicted appellant of first-degree *440murder,1 rape,2 aggravated assault,3 kidnapping,4 and abuse of corpse5 in connection with the killing of Aimee Willard.
