The plaintiff procured a fire insurance of the defendant upon a building situate at Charlevoix, in this state. She then was and still is a resident of Michigan. The defendant is a corporation organized under the laws of the state of New York, and has its principal place of business at the city of New York, and performs its vital functions there.
