This was an action by attachment,' brought before a justice of the peace of Adams county, by Chauncey Ladd, a resident of this State, against one Crane, a resident of the State of Missouri. No property of Crane being found, the Hannibal and St. Joseph Railroad Company was summoned as a garnishee. The company filed an answer on the return day of the writ of attachment. The justice of the peace issued a scire facias against the company, and on the return day the company filed-a second answer, and the justice of the peace thereupon rendered a judgment against the company, in favor of Crane, for…
