— Plaintiffs instituted suit to obtain a decree quieting title to certain land alleged to haye been acquired by their predecessor in interest through tax foreclosure proceedings. The parties named as defendants herein defaulted. An additional defendant alone appeared in the action by answer, denying the material allegations of the complaint and affirmatively alleging that he was the owner of this land, and that the tax foreclosure proceedings and sale thereunder were void.
