Plaintiffs are copartners engaged in business as subcontractors machining aircraft parts to be used in the assembly of airplanes. On March 11, 1943, they entered into a written title-, retaining contract "with the defendant to purchase from the defendant four certain machines for their use in making aircraft parts.
