These are eminent domain proceedings, instituted by the city of Seattle, as a single proceeding, in the superior court for King county, whereby the city seeks to acquire, as against numerous owners of property abutting upon Queen Anne Boulevard, certain rights necessary for the city to possess in order to improve that boulevard in accordance with the recent officially established and reestablished grades thereof, along several miles of its course, and to change the use of the boulevard from ordinary street to park drive and boulevard uses.
